Spring Session is blooming!
The Rhode Island APA offers multiple ways to get to Las Vegas and other places.
Any player with 10 scores in the last 2 years is eligible to play on a local singles board, qualify for the twice-annual singles regional, and go to Las Vegas to compete in the Poolplayer Championships each spring.
Local singles board can be:
8-person, single-elimination, 1 qualifies, $20
16-person, double-elimination, 5 qualify, $40
Tapout, unlimited people, price varies
Did you know? ANYONE can run a board!
Team Captains:
3 captains compete locally, the winning team can add two captains for the Championship in August in Las Vegas!
Wheelchair:
any wheelchair-bound player is eligible for the Wheelchair Championship each spring in Las Vegas!
8-Ball Doubles:
two players who each have 20+ scores in the last two years compete locally; the winning team advances to the 8-Ball Doubles Championship in the spring in Las Vegas!
9-Ball Doubles:
two players who each have 20+ scores in the last two years compete locally; the winning team advances to the 8-Ball Doubles Championship in the spring in Las Vegas!
Jack and Jill:
two players who each have 20+ scores in the last two years compete locally; the winning team advances to the Jack and Jill Championship in the spring in Las Vegas!
Ladies League:
3-5 ladies form a team, play locally through the year, and compete in a final tournament. The winning team advances to the Ladies 8-Ball Championship in the spring in Las Vegas!
Masters League:
3-4 highly skilled players form a team, play locally through the year, and compete in a final tournament. The winning team advances to the Masters Championship in the spring in Las Vegas!
Montreal, Canada:
local qualifier team tournament, advance to the Montreal Invitational, springtime
Niagara Falls, Canada:
local qualifier team tournament, winners advance to the Border Battle, early November
Mohegan Sun, Connecticut:
local qualifier team tournament, winners advance to the Northeast Challenge, summer
